On a visit to Africa, commenting on the continent’s aura and appeal, popular American actor, Will Smith, once remarked, “It’s really beautiful. It feels like God visits everywhere else but lives in Africa.
Unfortunately, not many inhabitants of the continent have experienced this magic beyond their homes or borders. They would rather fly far away. The levels of intra-African travel have remained low and a major concern to tourism partners.
However, the increase and resumption of regional flights is a beacon of hope for intra-Africa travel. Late last year LAM Linhas Aéreas de Moçambique, SA – resumed, their direct flights between Maputo and Harare, improving exchanges between Mozambique and Zimbabwe, thus boosting tourism, investments, as well as the circulation of citizens from the two neighbouring countries. In this instalment of diplomat travel we review one of Mozambique’s Bazaruto Archipelago.
The idyllic islands of the Bazaruto Archipelago in Mozambique are known for their unspoiled beauty and diverse ecologies.
